Every day, we are working to improve SitePodium. We do this to ensure our platform remains fast and accessible for both Stakeholder Engagement staff and project followers.
Each month, we implement not only minor changes but sometimes also major functionalities. We do our best to inform everyone about this, but we understand that you might have missed something.
Therefore, in this article, we share 7 features that you might not know or use yet, but that can help you boost your project communication!
1. Smart Reporting
A blown-over construction fence, noise pollution, or an unsafe situation on the construction site. As a Stakeholder Engagement staff member, you want to be aware of these kinds of issues.
With the Smart Reporting Module, you use the project environment as your ears and eyes. Through this module in SitePodium, one can easily place reports on a map.
Not only Stakeholder Engagement staff members but also other followers see these reports. When you follow such a report, you stay informed about its resolution.
At the Dutch municipality of Delft, they used the Smart Reporting Module for something completely different, namely a consultation project. There, residents could indicate their wishes on the map.
The Smart Reporting Module is available upon request only.
2. Survey Module
The Feedback Monitor has been a great success since its launch. However, we noticed a need for a more comprehensive version. This led to the creation of the Survey Module.
This module gives Stakeholder Engagement staff much more control over the formulation of questions and analysis of the results.
With the Survey Module, you can ask open and multiple-choice questions. With a push notification, you easily invite your followers to fill out your survey.
Want to know more? Your questions are likely answered in this article about the Survey Module.
The Survey Module is available upon request only.
3. Widget
Reach is an important aspect of (stakeholder) communication. Stakeholder Engagement team members often use multiple channels to communicate with the project environment.
Our widget allows you to place your updates on another website through a piece of code. In practice, we see this applied a lot on project websites and project pages of municipalities.
By placing a widget on your website, you easily direct visitors to your project on SitePodium.
4. AI Function
The modern Stakeholder Engagement staff member has recently received a little helper for writing updates.
Through an integration with Artificial Intelligence (AI), you can have texts in your updates checked for spelling or adjusted to a different language level.
Discover more about the integration of AI in the SitePodium admin module.
5. Emojis
You either love Emojis or you hate them. Whether you use them to brighten up your texts is entirely up to you. If you prefer to call them Emoticons or Smileys, that’s fine too.
We saw Emojis appearing in more and more updates and therefore decided it was time for better integration in our admin module.
In the text editor for updates, you can easily find and add all common Emojis. This saves you a lot of copying and pasting from external pages!
6. Translation Function
There’s a good chance you’re not familiar with this function. The translation function is almost invisible, and that’s a very deliberate choice.
To keep SitePodium accessible to everyone, you can have almost all texts translated. Whether it’s about updates, the schedule, or the project description.
Why don’t I see this?
Visibility depends on the language setting of your phone. There’s a good chance it’s set to English. For those users, we omit the translation option.
However, if your phone is set to a foreign language, translation options appear, allowing you to translate texts into that language. This way, we make stakeholder communication accessible to everyone in your project environment.
7. Web Version
People without a smartphone, do they still exist? If you believe some Stakeholder Engagement Managers, this occurs more frequently than you might think.
We believe in digital accessibility and therefore decided to launch a web version of SitePodium in January 2021. From that moment, you could also follow projects via the browser on a PC.
However, the web version offers more advantages. For example, you can easily share links to projects or specific updates via other channels such as Facebook or WhatsApp.
This web version can also be realised upon request for Project and CompanyApps.
